Elevate and the Nashville Coaching Coalition have been producing The Coach Forum together for several years — an annual one-day conference built to encourage and equip coaches of high school and college players to grow in their influence, both on and off the field.
Then 2020 happened.
Rather than cancel, NCC made the call to reimagine The Coach Forum entirely — splitting it into a three-part virtual speaker series. The first session launched June 4, 2020, and it marked a first for both organizations: the first time NCC had ever hosted a virtual event, and the first time Elevate had partnered with them in that format.
The night brought together Scott Hearon, NCC’s founder, alongside guest speakers Tim and Maggie Corbin for a conversation that coaches across the region had been waiting for — on coaching, family, struggle, and what it really means to lead people well.
NCC had built years of trust with Elevate through live events. Going virtual meant putting that trust to the test in a brand new format.

We came in as NCC’s full technology partner — handling the platform, the production, the hosting, and the energy. From kicking off the night with an interactive game to managing every speaker transition, we made sure NCC’s vision came to life exactly as they’d imagined it.
A lean three-person team ran the full night — and not a single detail slipped.
The numbers tell the story. Two hundred and fifty coaches showed up — and stayed. Seventy-four percent were actively engaged throughout the full 98-minute event. The chat logged 2,986 messages, 426 chat responses, and an average of 4.3 chats per minute. For a virtual event on a weighty topic, that’s a room that was genuinely alive.
Ricky kicked off the engagement early with a “This or That” game in the chat — breaking the ice and setting the tone that this wasn’t going to be a passive experience. It worked. Coaches stayed in it, asking Tim and Maggie real questions about coaching, family, struggle, and leadership long after the formal program wrapped.
