Georgia Center for Opportunity is a nonprofit working to strengthen families across Georgia — and healthy marriages are at the heart of that mission. For their first-ever Community Date Night, they wanted an experience worthy of the couples who showed up: fun, meaningful, and genuinely memorable.

The event sold out nearly two weeks before the doors opened.

Elevate partnered with GCO to plan, produce, and host the full evening — from the red carpet entrance to the final dance party. Seventy-five couples spent the night laughing through custom couple-focused games, dancing, connecting with one another, and hearing from four presenters who brought GCO’s message of healthy marriage and family to life. Over $650 in prizes were given away. And throughout it all, the room was full of exactly the kind of energy a first-ever event hopes to create and rarely achieves.

WHY ELEVATE

Making the Message the Hero

GCO had a clear vision for the night — and they needed a partner who could build an experience around that vision without ever losing sight of it.

The Challenge

Create a first-ever community event for married couples that felt genuinely celebratory and fun while keeping GCO’s message about healthy marriages woven intentionally through every moment of the evening.

Our Approach

We designed every activation, playlist, and engagement moment specifically for the couples in the room — building toward GCO’s theme rather than away from it. High energy and meaningful content aren’t opposites. This night proved it.

WHAT WORKED

A Room Full of Smiles. That Was the Goal.

From the red carpet entrance to the final dance party, the GCO Community Date Night delivered on every level. Couples arrived, saw the red carpet, and knew immediately this wasn’t going to be a typical nonprofit event. The custom couple-focused games got people laughing. The dance parties got everyone on their feet. And the four presenters wove GCO’s message through the evening in a way that felt natural, not programmatic.

The room filled with connection — between couples, between strangers who arrived separately and left feeling like community, and between GCO’s mission and the people they exist to serve.

For Elevate, getting to contribute to a night centered on healthy marriages — just down the road from our home office — was a genuine honor. GCO is doing important work in Georgia. We were proud to help make their first Community Date Night one worth repeating.

"Our vision, purpose and theme was weaved nicely throughout the evening. The activities and couple time created an intimate and community environment. [Elevate] made sure this was about HFI and the couples. You served us a platter of 'excellence' from the very beginning."
