The Georgia World Congress Center Authority oversees some of Atlanta’s most iconic venues — the Georgia World Congress Center, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Centennial Olympic Park, and more. As the #1 convention, sports, and entertainment destination in the world, the GWCCA is a powerhouse of economic growth and southern hospitality.

But behind every world-class venue is a world-class team — and that team needs to be invested in.

The GWCCA Training Day is an annual learning event designed to do exactly that: orient new team members, reinforce the organization’s values and legacy, and send every employee back to their department feeling refreshed, inspired, and connected to something bigger than their individual role. For the event’s second year, GWCCA trusted Elevate to plan, produce, and host the entire day.

Four hundred to 450 employees. Three keynote speakers. One #InMyFeelings challenge moment that nobody saw coming. And a 90% positive feedback rating that said everything about how the day landed.

WHY ELEVATE

More Than an Event. A Culture Moment.

GWCCA didn’t just need a well-run training day — they needed one that made every single employee feel like they matter.

The Challenge

Create a large-scale employee training event that went beyond information delivery — one that maintained momentum and enthusiasm across a full day, reinforced each team member’s importance to Atlanta’s economy, and genuinely shifted the culture of the organization.

Our Approach

We came in as full partners from the start — coordinating speakers, designing the run of show, branding all presentations and printed collateral, managing registration, and building three custom activations to keep 400+ employees engaged throughout the day. GWCCA focused on their people. We made sure the day was worthy of them.

WHAT WORKED

Ninety Percent. That Says It All.

Four hundred to 450 employees showed up for a training day — and left raving about it. Ninety percent positive feedback isn’t a number you stumble into. It’s the result of a day that was genuinely well-designed, well-run, and well-intentioned from start to finish.

Three keynote speakers — Rachelle Dever, Holly Moore, and Clay Scroggins — delivered content that was motivational, memorable, and meaningful. Custom activations including Shake, Rattle & Rhythm, Left or Right, and Table Talks kept the energy high and the connections intentional between sessions. And somewhere in the middle of it all, a #InMyFeelings challenge moment happened that had 400 GWCCA employees on their feet together.

The key messages landed. The culture shifted. And GWCCA’s team left the day reminded of exactly why the work they do matters.
