Every year, the Gwinnett Student Leadership Team gathers the brightest student leaders across seven Gwinnett County schools for a summit that’s equal parts celebration, competition, and launchpad. Students come to vision cast, perform, and compete for the coveted Spirit Stick — and to leave fired up for the year of leadership ahead.
With 1,500 students representing seven schools, this isn’t a small gathering. It’s a statement. And for ten years, Elevate has been the team trusted to make it happen.
This is one of our longest-standing partnerships — a decade of working alongside Nancy Ward and the GSLT board to create a summit that gets better every year. From the opening moment to the final activation, we steer the event from top to bottom, connecting schools with one another, shining a light on every student and sponsor in the room, and making sure the Spirit Stick goes to whoever truly earned it.
NCC had built years of trust with Elevate through live events. Going virtual meant putting that trust to the test in a brand new format.

The longer version: 1,500 students from seven schools spent a day competing, connecting, performing, and being genuinely celebrated — and the energy in the room never dipped. Eight activations kept every school in it together. The breakout sessions gave student leaders something real to take back to their schools. And the GSLT Co-Chairs performing High School Musical songs together may have been the highlight no one saw coming.
Ten years in, this partnership still gets us. That’s not something we take for granted.
