WinShape Camps Road Crew Training — a full day of consulting and hands-on leadership development designed to send college students out into the world ready to create remarkable experiences.
WinShape Camps is a non-profit born from the vision of S. Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A — a summer camp providing one and two-week experiences for boys and girls of all ages. The WinShape Camps Road Crew is the engine behind the recruitment machine: a group of college students who travel the eastern U.S. all year, recruiting summer staffers on college campuses in the fall and recruiting campers in communities through the spring.
Before they hit the road, they come to Elevate.
Over the course of multiple training sessions, Road Crew teams have visited the Elevate office for a full day of consulting, coaching, and hands-on development — built around one goal: equip these young leaders to lead remarkable guest experiences wherever they go. Whether they’re on a college campus, in a community center, or behind a microphone for the first time, they leave ready.
When it comes to consulting, Elevate doesn’t do generic. Every training day is built specifically for the team walking through the door.
Equip a group of college students — many with limited event hosting experience — with the practical tools, confidence, and principles to lead remarkable experiences for students and families across the eastern U.S.
We crafted custom content built specifically around the Road Crew’s mission, goals, and audience — delivering leadership and hosting principles through interactive games, bootcamp-style training, and hands-on practice rather than a slide deck and a lecture. By the end of the day, Road Crew members had practiced what they learned, not just heard it.
Elevate’s consulting team running a full custom training day for WinShape’s next generation of road-ready leaders.
Road Crew members left the day equipped with practical tactics for leading and engaging an audience of any size — not in theory, but through having actually done it in a room full of peers and coaches giving real feedback.
The training covered event planning and execution best practices, crowd engagement principles, public speaking development, and the kind of hands-on hosting practice that only comes from getting up and trying. Five custom activities — including Name That Mission, Virtual Reality engagement, Take Ground, and Hosting Bootcamp — made the content stick in a way that a traditional training day never could.
Three sessions in, this partnership keeps getting better. WinShape builds remarkable communities — and we’re honored to play a small role in preparing the people who make that happen.
Whether you’re planning for 50 or 5,000, we design, plan, and produce events that people actually remember.
