Flexicution: Adapting your Strategy

Mar 25, 2020

When we use the term flexicution, what do we mean? Simply put, flexicution is the ability to be flexible with our strategy in order to execute a new plan effectively!

As COVID-19 has radically changed the way that we work, flexibility is demanded.

Under changing conditions and circumstances, it is increasingly important to have a team that is flexible. The strategies we reverted to may be less efficient now, which affects the rhythm in which we typically complete work.

With the disruption that COVID-19 has caused in a growing number of industries, many are being forced to switch their tactics. A rigid plan is a hindrance for flexibility. The ability to adapt your strategies and plans for execution is required to be successful, now more than ever.

Regardless of whether or not your immediate outcome is successful, it is important to work with your team to adapt and overcome in this season. It is challenging to abandon old ways of execution that previously worked well, but this presents us with an opportunity to learn and grow!

Our Founder & President, Billy Boughey, often reminds us to shift our perspective from “this is happening to me” to “this is happening for me.” As we all continue to navigate what it looks like to succeed in a digital world, it is valuable to focus on how we are benefitting from these changes instead of how they are making things difficult. A perspective shift is sometimes all we need in order to begin to flexicute.

On the other side of this pandemic, our team believes that the world will have developed a new set of skills to market digitally, and many will master how to be an effective leader from home. Our world relies on technology, but many did not know how to use it to their benefit in the business world until recently. It took many industries being forced to put their typical practices on pause in order to learn and grow in new skills. It takes the ability to be flexible in our execution in order to remain successful working remotely.

Is this concept of flexicution causing you to re-imagine some of your practices and strategies? Let us help you create an ideal work culture with a team that is able to flexicute with ease! We have some resources that have the potential to set you up well for helping your team adapt. Also, our Founder & President would love to set up a free 30 minute phone call with you in order to figure out how you can leverage your team’s strengths to maximize your success. We hope to hear from you. We are all in this together!
