Is it just us, or is the list of “trendy things the cool kids are saying” skyrocketing as we speak? 😅
Speaking of which, have you heard the common reference to “BER Months”?
If you have no idea what we’re talking about (no judgment), here’s the DL:
BER months refer to the last four months of the year (September, October, November, and December) which all end in BER.
And if you’re wondering what makes BER months so buzzworthy right now, they signal the start of the holiday season and a shift in lifestyle, culture, and marketing. They bring the warm fuzzies, okay!?
Now that we’ve got that behind us, we can also go ahead and acknowledge that the first of the four BER months, September) is officially in the rearview.
So WHAT now and WHAT does this have to do with events…?
OUR HOT TAKE: BER months can be the most impactful time of the year, should you choose to allow them to be.
You see, in many ways, Q4 is all about slowing down, unwinding, and leaning into enjoying the holiday season. And hey, we’re all about that!
💥 But what many companies miss is the opportunity to leverage Q4 events to make great impact for the following year.
What type of events and leverage are we talkin’?
So glad you asked 🤗
Here are 3 Q4 Events to host during the BER months, and why they’ll make a lasting impact on your team or customers:
Okay, if you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know full well that we get pretty fired up about holiday parties because what some may see as a pointless use of already-used-up budget dollars is ACTUALLY one of the most momentous things you can do (especially at the end of the year)!
Trust us, we know it can be a challenge to really grasp if holiday parties matter that much (they do)! Read more thoughts on this topic HERE.
In short, holiday parties lead to team members and/or clients (whoever you’re celebrating with) feeling valued, celebrated, and connected which, believe it or not, leads to higher retention and MANY more worthy benefits.
Can we let you in on something? The best organizations don’t wait til the new year to invest in team building. Rather, they intentionally plan for it in the beloved BER months.
What does this look like? Virtual. In-person. You name it. The “how” doesn’t matter as much as setting aside a SPECIFIC period of time (i.e. not a 10-minute block in your company-wide meeting) in Q4 to level set, gain clarity, reflect, and plan for the coming year.
It’s simply one of the most profound things you can do, and with the right help and structure, it doesn’t have to be that difficult or elaborate.

Yes, we’re big fans of investing in our communities, especially during the holiday season. The world needs more kindness, more compassion, and more help. Plus, doing something generous alongside team members does WONDERS for team unity and connection, not to mention raising their respect for your organization as a whole.
Consider this your invitation, permission slip, or whatever it is you might need to take action on serving with your team (or even your clients!) during the BER months.
Are you ready for the BEST way you can leverage events to make an impact during Q4?
